The rise of BIM software continues to revolutionize the architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) industries. However, there still remains an overarching issue for many BIM users — how to realize the promise of BIM by leveraging and disseminating crucial model data locked up in the authoring tool.
Assemble’s cloud-based model management software is the solution to this challenge. With Assemble, AEC team members can easily view, analyze and share model-based building information without having to fully understand BIM authoring applications. Assemble Systems can simplify activities from pre-construction throughout the construction process. And, with Assemble’s product functionalities (coming soon!) – it’s about to get even easier.
Let’s take a look at Assemble’s three enhanced features that will ease some of the ongoing challenges around managing BIM data:
Model Federation allows for multiple model insight so users can assemble and edit an entire project instead of sifting through one model at a time. When the project team can see the big picture, it makes it easier to understand and validate the means of constructability.
Model Tree lists all categories, families and types in a model, displaying the objects that are visible and more importantly the objects that are hidden. Providing non-Revit users with an outline of the inventory of the entire project, the Model Tree makes it easy to interrogate, hide, and unhide model selections to isolate categories or to coordinate an entire project.
Visibility Rules go hand-in-hand with the Model Tree feature. While hiding objects, Assemble is building intelligent rules for your view so that you can save the visibility and manipulate the rules as the model changes or for future use. The Visibility Rules dialog also allows power users to filter object visibility based on user-defined parameters in the models for displaying model information for specific workflows such as data conditioning, look-aheads or change management.
Assemble transforms the use of BIM for organizations around the globe. Leveraging these new features makes it easier to use models in various AEC workflows without modeling experience or training.
