Join Gilbane Building Company, one of the most successful integrated construction and facility management services firms, to learn how they are tracking valuable design data to deliver Target Value Design. By using this collaborative process, the preconstruction team is kept well informed of potential design changes and the model is evaluated at different stages to ensure scope and associated critical cost drivers are in line with the base estimate created to avoid any surprises.
David Maser, Senior VDC Manager at Gilbane will share project case studies to showcase the evolution of their process over the years, starting with Revit and Excel and now Assemble Systems and Power BI. By using live Power BI Dashboards to track and analyze design data on a weekly basis rather than exchanging drawings at SD, DD, and CD, the preconstruction team at Gilbane has successfully created a streamlined process of eliminating any communication surprises between Gilbane, the designers, and the owner.
