Assemble Webinar!

Revit Parts allow users to break a design component down according to the construction means and methods without breaking down the original component. This allows users to independently schedule, tag, filter, and export data from each part discretely. By using PCL PartsLab, a free Revit add-in, you can drastically reduce the time spent by  automating the creation, visualization, and change management of Revit Parts.

In this webinar, Nick Kurth and Daron Denton, VDC Managers at PCL Construction share how you can drastically reduce time and clicks by creating thousands of Parts from targeted categories/families/types. Assemble experts then show you how to consume the entire model including Revit Parts and PCL PartsLab data in Assemble to be further conditioned allowing material take-offs, bid packages, custom views, and selection sets to be used in Estimating, Project Management, and Scheduling tasks.

Speakers Include:

Nick Kurth – As Virtual Construction Manager, Nick is responsible for leading PCL’s virtual design and construction (VDC) as well as research and development efforts for the organization’s US operations. Nick began his career in operations and now focuses on PCL’s adoption of integrated technologies, and how these technologies benefit the preconstruction, estimating, planning, management, and field execution phases. Throughout his construction career, Nick has managed projects ranging in value from $40 million to $1 billion. His passion for emerging technologies that improve the construction process makes him a valuable member of PCL’s management team.

Daron Denton – As manager of Virtual Design & Construction R&D, Daron works directly with PCL VDC managers and project teams to develop tools and standardize workflows that solve functionality gaps within industry software and technology. The strategic implementation of these solutions have accelerated adoption and access to VDC that have traditionally been reserved for modeling specialists. Daron brings 20+ years of experience in the AEC industry, and is the creator of PCL PartsLab, a publicly available BIM tool that is drastically improving the VDC workflow for general contractors.

Tim Kelly is the Product Manager at Assemble Systems, responsible for working closely with customers to develop the product strategy and roadmap. Tim has a wealth of experience within the construction industry, having spent the last 7 years innovating with BIM in design and construction from the general contractor and construction management perspective. Tim earned his BS in Construction Science from Texas A&M University and prior to joining Assemble Systems served as BIM Manager at Satterfield & Pontikes Construction.
